Insurance Licensing Requirements in New Hampshire:

New Hampshire does not require pre-licensing training before taking the licensing exam. Applicants for Life, Health, Property and Casualty insurance should prepare for the exam and register with the Testing Provider: Prometric at 800-869-6603 or http://www.prometric.com.

Continuing Education Requirements in New Hampshire:

Continuing education is required for all resident producers. A total of 24 hours of CE credit is required every two years. A minimum of 3 hours must be on the subject of professional ethics for the insurance producer.

 

Producers selling long term care insurance or flood insurance must complete supplemental training before selling these products.

In order to sell flood insurance, each producer must complete a one-time 3-hour continuing education course about the federal flood insurance program.

In order to sell long term care insurance producers must have completed a one-time, 8-hour initial training course. 4 hours of ongoing training must be completed every 24 months after taking the initial 8-hour course in order to continue transacting long term care insurance.  

Compliance Renewal Date:
60 days prior to license expiration - Licenses expire on the last day of the birth month biennially

Carryover Hours:
Not allowed

Course Repetition:
Courses may not be taken for credit more than once in a two-year period

Reporting Method:
CE credits are reported online to SBS Online within 30 days after course completion
