Insurance Licensing Requirements in Hawaii:

Hawaii does not require pre-licensing training before taking the licensing exam. Applicants for Life, Health, Property and Casualty insurance should prepare for the exam and register with the Testing Provider: Pearson VUE at 800-274-5993 or http://www.pearsonvue.com.

Effective 7/1/2010, licensees who renew on August 16, 2010 the new CE requirements is as follows:

Line Specific Requirements:

3 hrs - Producers must complete 3 hours of Ethics as a part of the total requirement

3 hrs - Property/Casualty producers who sell flood insurance must complete the one-time 3 hr NFIP course

4 hrs - Hawaii brokers and producers licensed before 1/1/2012 must complete a 4 hour annuity course no later than 1/31/2012. Those licensed after that 1/31/2012 must complete the course prior to selling, soliciting or negotiating annuity products.  (Hawaii''s regulations do not allow reciprocity for completing courses in another state.)
